OSS Engineer - NMS
Ref: TECHNICAL_OSSE_NMS_APRIL 10
Reporting to the Senior Manager OSS, the holder of the position will perform maintenance and provide long term support & solutions for the IT equipment and NMS Systems in use by the Operations Department.

Reporting to the Senior Manager OSS, the holder of the position will perform maintenance and provide long term support & solutions for the IT equipment and NMS Systems in use by the Operations Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure system and service availability for all the OSS systems and implement cost reduction initiatives based on departmental OPEX;
- Ensure that new installations and configuration changes are implemented to set standards;
- Perform successful on fault clearance within the time period set from arrival on site;
- Conduct quality initiatives, implement, measure, review security system and document;
- Perform frequent proactive fault identification;
Minimum requirements
- University Degree in IT or Engineering;
- At least 2 Years experience on a busy IT environment on databases;
- Technical skills required :UNIX (Advanced), SQL (Advanced), UNIX Scripting (Shell Script programming) and excellent knowledge of IP network;
- OCP or CCNA Certification will be an added advantage;
