MSH is currently seeking qualified professional Sudanese Nationals and Third Country Nationals (TCNs) interested in potential employment on a three (3) year project - on Sudan Health Transformation Project II (SHTP II) at the country level – Juba, South Sudan.

Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor

The Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor, LTTA (Long-term Technical Assistant) will serve as the principal advisor on Monitoring and Evaluations-related issues to the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the SHTP II Project.


This includes providing advice on the development of new tools and approaches for Monitoring and Evaluations (M&E), consolidation of existing tools, design of special studies, data collection, analysis, and capacity building needs.

S/he will be responsible for building the capacity of local staff within the MOH, the County Health Departments (CHD) and SHTP II, thus ensuring sustainability of these efforts.

The Monitoring & Evaluation Advisor, LTTA will be seconded to and will work closely with the MOH in the achievement of designated tasks.

The ideal candidate will possess graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline with extensive experience in managing project M&E efforts. She / He will demonstrate skills in data management, evaluation, research, experimental and quasi experimental design and methods for measuring project and organizational performance against identified goals.

Candidates with an extensive practical field experience across a broad range of programmatic areas including, HIV/AIDS, Maternal and Child Health, Water and Sanitation, Infectious Diseases and Family Planning are preferred.

Applicants must have strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally and build capacity among colleagues from culturally diverse backgrounds and in different settings. She / He must be able to undertake extensive domestic travel.

Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager with safeguarding the assets (financial and physical) of MSH and ultimately the U.S. Government or other donors against fraud, loss or misuse.

The Accountant is responsible for ensuring that any money expended in the field is done in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, MSH policy, and any cost principles imposed by the donor agency.

The Accountant is aware of, and adheres to, MSH’s procurement integrity standards in all activities.

Applicants will possess a minimum of a University Degree in Accounting or equivalent certification with at least 2 years relevant experience. Accounting experience on USG funded projects desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and the ability to use QuickBooks required.
