The Kenya Institute of Management – a leading not-for-profit membership-based management and business development organization seeks to fill the following position.
1. EXAMINATIONS CLERK
JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the Manager, Examinations. The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team to maintain the efficient and smooth running of all Examination issues at the branch.

Duties and responsibilities
* Issuing academic certificates and transcripts for all Diploma and Certificate courses
* Handling all exam related enquiries and queries
* Supervising final examination to ensure smooth running and also handle issues that arise during the examination period
* Keeping updated records of exams related issues and filling all exams documents
* Ensuring safe custody of all certificates and transcripts
* Registration and clearance of students for exams
* To liaise with other staff to ensure accuracy in exam related data
* Booking transcripts and certificates for students who are missing

THE PERSON
 Knowledge, skills and experience required:
* Diploma in Business Administration or related field
* At least 2 years relevant experience
* Computer literate
* Aged between 26 – 35 years


PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
* Effective supervision of exams
* Ensure that only cleared students sit for exams
* Ensure the security and integrity of exams, WBA & CATs
* Ensure that students get the best service possible
2. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT – NAIVASHA
JOB SUMMARY
This position reports to the Branch Executive Naivasha. The successful candidate will be required to provide secretarial and administrative services to Naivasha Branch and to manage all the records for the Branch.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Type letters and reports from drafts by the Branch Executive and other managers.
2. Create and maintain appropriate records, files, filing systems and students’ database
3. Screen all incoming telephone calls and where appropriate answer routine queries and/or refers to an alternative source.
4. To ensure effective mailing and distribution/dispatching of documents.
5. Maintain a diary, arrange appointments and meetings under the guidance of the Branch Executive
6. Maintain a register of all Branch Equipment and ensure that they are properly cared for and maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
* Diploma in Secretarial from a recognized Institution
* Minimum three years relevant experience.
* KCSE or equivalent with a pass in English
* Proficiency in the use of computer packages such as word-processing and spreadsheets etc.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
* Effective Filing system.
* Ensuring maintenance of Equipment and tidiness of the Branch
* Records, files and databases kept up-to date and easy to retrieve
* Maintain high standards of professionalism.
