Reporting Relationships

A. Responsible to: Head of Corporate Communications

B. Responsible for:
 
  • Sectional Head Sponsorship and Regional Relations
  • CSR Coordinator (TBR)
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic guidance in developing effective Brand and CSR programmes to deliver against brand and holistic strategy
  • Utilize exceptional relationship skills to deliver market leading partnerships, optimize brand programmes and deliver on agreed upon milestones
  • Negotiate new, renewal of CSR and Sponsorship contracts as agreed upon with the Head of Corporate Communications
  • Ensure Telkom Kenya achieves a substantive improvement to become a more sustainable and socially responsive company
Tasks
  • Prepare the Sponsorship and CSR strategy, ensure effective coordination and engagement of all initiatives and supervise timely execution
  • Effectice management of the Sponsorship and CSR budgets
  • Manage the sponsorship request process, third party supplier management and ensure that all sponsorship requests are logged, communication done to relevant parties and timely responses provided to all enquiries
  • Prepare comprehensive project reports for each assignment
  • Prepare annual sponsorship and CSR reports at the end of each financial year

A. Internally: Heads of Corporate Communications, other Heads of Department, Procurement, Mass Market, Marketing and Customer care teams

B. Externally: Corporate Organizations, Government, ATL and BTL agencies, NGOs, federations, Unions and foundations

Knowledge and Experience

A. Education:
 Bachelors Degree in Communications, Brand or a related field from a recognized Institution.

B. Experience:
 High caliber graduate with brand marketing, brand based sponsorship experience and should have at least a minimum of 3 years work experience as a Corporate Communications Manager

or

A minimum of 5 years experience in a middle management position within a Corporate communications office, media house or agency

Should be able to demonstrate experience in brand management and high level knowledge of the sponsorship environment

Should be able to demonstrate understanding of the role of sponsorship to deliver commercial and brand objectives
