Key Responsibilities:
  • Execution of energy projects in the field – e.g. renewable energy, improved cook stoves, LPG, micro hydro, briquettes, biogas, fabrication etc.
  • Renewable energy technologies training
  • Support in renewable energy business due diligence and development of business plans
  • Preparation of energy projects funding proposals
  • Business development
Qualifications:


  • Degree electrical engineering or renewable energy
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in renewable energy projects
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously
Energy SME Enterprise Technology Mentors
(Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania)

Key Responsibilities:

To work closely with the supported energy enterprises by providing advice and support in the various energy technologies being supported by the project.

The technology mentoring will cover production, installation, maintenance, product sourcing, raw material sourcing, standards, quality assurance and energy technology as a business.

Qualifications:
  • Certificate, diploma, degree, etc. in energy technologies, e.g. renewable energy, improved cook stoves, LPG, micro hydro, briquettes, biogas, fabrication etc.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a related field, e.g. as a trainer or instructor in energy technology production or installation.
  • Applicants must be willing to create time and work with the entrepreneurs in rural areas.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and documentations and apply them in a business scenario.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision within the designated locations
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to guide the entrepreneurs in creating technologies that work for the local and international markets.
