Architecture/Project Manager and Procurement & Contract Manager

A well established property developer is looking for highly motivated, proactive and energetic person for the following positions in a busy property development department.

1. Architecture/Project Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing innovative concepts in all property projects to suit market requirements.
  • Responsible for developing fully functional architectural department within the organization.
  • Assist the property department in pursuing new property development projects including participating in client presentations.
  • Architectural contract administration, including co-ordination with contractors.
  • Review, evaluate and monitor planning budget, cost and


    schedules in accordance with contract.
  • Ensure compliance with Environment Safety & Health, Quality Assurance and Occupational Health & Safety Act Requirements.
  • Supervision of commercial, residential and industrial projects.
Requirements
  • The successful candidate will need to be a Bachelor of Architecture
  • Should have creative/innovative abilities, management skills, and people skills.
  • Professional training and knowledge in ArchiCAD, AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop is an added advantage.
  • Should have a minimum of 10 years experience in a reputable architectural company.
  • Be registered with the board of registration of architects and quantity surveyors and a current member of AAK
  • Have ability to effectively handle 2-3 projects at the same time
2. Procurement & Contract Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director and General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Procurement with rate analysis and negotiations for all materials related to all building work, services and interiors.
  • Ensure materials procured at the project site are as per specification, quality and are within budgeted costs.
  • Maintaining complete documentation.
Requirements
  • The successful candidate will need to have a diploma in Quantity Surveying and/or Project Management /Business Finance.
  • High integrity, reliability and resourcefulness.
  • Must have at least 3-4 years experience in similar position.
  • Should be well versed with Kenyan contract law.
  • Specialisation in building material procurement will be an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation skills and previous success in cost savings and supplier rationalization is also key.
