The Community Health Department (CHD) of Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya has demonstrated effective provision of primary health care services through capacity building and development of useful health management system models at all levels of health care. The following course will be led by Dr. Amyn Lakhani (CHD director) and other faculty members including experienced staff from the Aga Khan Foundation, Kenya, and the Aga Khan University, Nairobi.

Course Title: Grant Writing in the Health Sector 
Duration:
 1 week (50 hours of interaction)
Date and venue:
 19th – 24th April 2010: Mombasa

Course objective:
 To provide access to health and development staff in appropriate knowledge and skills for writing and submitting successful grants. Each participant will be able to draft grant proposal document for health sector development while attending the course.

Expected participants:
 The course is designed for health professionals including clinical and non clinical staff managing health facilities, health NGO staff, health facility committees, and CBO staff, especially those interested to make successful application for the TOWA (HIV/AIDS) grants by National Aids Control Council.

Tuition fees: Kshs. 40,000 (Forty thousand) per participant.
 

For international participants USD 600 (six hundred dollars) per participant.

Government workers who are Kenyan Nationals are entitled to a (fifty) 50% reduction in tuition fees.
