Pan Africa Christian University (PAC University) is a Christian institution of higher learning established in 1978. It is situated along Lumumba Drive, off Kamiti Road, off Thika Road in Roysambu.

The mission of the University is to develop godly Christian leaders, growing disciples of Jesus Christ who are thoroughly equipped to serve God, the Church and their communities as they strengthen and actively multiply believers in Africa and-around the World.

In response to recent re-organization of stakeholder interests and

other growth-oriented changes, the University seeks to fill the position of  Vice Chancellor.

Suitable applicants must demonstrate that they are Christians who are born again and active, committed members of a local church; preferably, with strong Pan African and International affiliations in the higher education circles.
 Job Purpose

The successful candidate shall be responsible for the day-to-today management of the institution providing transformational leadership. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong Christian stewardship values.
 The Job

Reporting to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, the successful candidate shall be responsible to the Board of Trustees for the following:
  • The implementation of the University's Strategic Plan.
  • The direction, organization, development, administration of the University and its programmes.
  • Steering the development and implementation of academic programmes in his or her capacity as the Chair of the University Senate.
  • Advise the Board of Trustees and the Governing Council on the development needs of the University including methods of resource mobilization, students and staff growth.
  • Creation and maintenance of linkages with other institutions of higher learning and other bodies to ensure that the institution remains relevant within its dynamic sphere of operation.
  • Any other functions that will contribute to the growth and development of the University and its Community.
This suitable person shall to:
  • A holder of PhD (or equivalent) degree from a reputable university.
  • Must have proven experience of not less than ten (10) years in both senior academic and administrative positions at a recognized university.
  • Must have proven transformational leadership and interpersonal skills that promote mutual dedication, growth, teamwork and academic excellence.
  • Must have demonstrable ability for building strong working relationships within the University and its wider publics.
  • Must be a person of high moral standing, high integrity, and high ethical standards.
  • Open, transparent and the ability to communicate values and beliefs about the University and its vision in a persuasive and motivating way.
  • Being an Associate Professor or a Full Professor will be an added advantage.
  • Understands and subscribes to PAC University's Statement of Faith.
