UNICEF Kenya seeks the Expression of Interest of firms to provide quality design and layout services

Scope of Work and Expected Deliverables:

Overall:
 To provide design and layout that has a strong visual identity that enhances recognition of UNICEF by our audiences and which conveys effective management of resources and builds organizational credibility.

Expected deliverables:

(a) Illustrations
  1. Develop appropriate original illustrations, graphics or



    source appropriate photographs under the guidance of the UNICEF specialist for each of the publications
  2. Provide all illustrations and graphics developed on CD in jpeg/bitmap high resolution format after finalization.
(b) Design and layout

 Design and layout documents in accordance with UNICEF requirements (to be provided) that will include the following:
  • Layout and graphic design
  • Branding in terms of UNICEF requirements the Government Department and where necessary the NGO/ academic departments requirements. The colour scheme shall be indicated and be linked to the Government Coat of Arms if requested.
  • Use of artwork, which includes UNICEF logo and other logos as deemed necessary for each of the Project where necessary
  • Use of photos, illustrations and other graphics as provided by UNICEF
2. Provide the final drafts of all the documents on CD, including the following:
  • Original version of graphically designed material
  • Print ready copy in PDF
  • DF versions for website and electronic distribution (low resolution)
Requirements:

Only those firms who satisfy the following requirements will be considered as potential consultancy firms:-
  • Registered as legal entity within Kenya
  • Have proven record in providing design and layout services and demonstrate sufficient technical capacity to undertake this assignment*.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years experience of work in a related field to the assignment.
  • Have clear understanding of the Convention on the Rights of the Child
  • Human Resources expected to take lead on this assignment must possess formal training
Timeframe: One year renewable
