Studio Maintenance Technician

The Role

Reporting to Assistant Manager Broadcast Operations, the Studio Maintenance Technician will maintain and repair all studio equipment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Higher Diploma and above in Electrical/Electronic/Broadcast Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years working experience preferably in a busy Broadcasting environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Repair of Broadcast systems.
  • Install, test and maintain technical facilities using analog and digital system
  • Maintain specialist equipment for audio, Video, Broadcast and interactive media
  • Analyzing and rectifying technical faults.
  • Identifying and implementing alternative ways of meeting requirements to cover equipment failure with minimal loss of service.
Person Specification
  • All rounded with the right attitude
  • Ability to work and communicate well
  • Can work for long, odd hours in shifts
  • Minimum supervision
  • Team player
  • Ability to manage high stress situations calmly and effectively
Technical Operator

The Role
  • Reporting to the Technical Operations Supervisor, the technical operator will operate the Broadcast studio equipment
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Technical Operations
  • Qualification on Video Studio Technical Operations
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous working experience preferably in Broadcast environment.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate should be able to operate:
  • Studio Lighting and Dimmer controls,
  • Audio and video mixers,
  • Cameras
  • VT servers
  • Playout stations in live gallery, transmission and studio operations
Person Specification

  • Energy and ability to work odd hours in shifts.
  • Ability to manage high stress situations calmly and effectively
