GVEP International’s regional office has been operational since July 2008 in East Africa.
The East Africa Regional Office (EARO) manages regional activities and the office is located in Nairobi.
GVEP-International is currently looking for an innovative, team oriented Regional Manager with strong leadership and organisational skills, including ability to build and motivate a team, to support the Head Office CEO and COO in the management of the

GVEP-International is currently looking for an innovative, team oriented Regional Manager with strong leadership and organisational skills, including ability to build and motivate a team, to support the Head Office CEO and COO in the management of the
Main Responsibility:
He/She shall be responsible for managing the East Africa operations from the Nairobi Regional Office. The Regional Manager will be responsible for the effective implementation of all the GVEP International activities including overall technical and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with donor reporting requirements. He/She will report directly to the UK Head Office.
Other Responsibilities shall include:
- Representing GVEP International in the East Africa region. He/She will be responsible for the promotion of the Organisation’s work and profile and will communicate to the COO, GVEP-International to update regularly on progress made.
- Responsible for building up a regional strategy for GVEP-International including the design of new programmes and funding streams with UK based staff
Qualifications:
The candidate will be required to posses at least a Masters degree in either of the following fields; energy, engineering, economics, environmental sciences or any other relevant field.

- Knowledge of African energy access and energy infrastructure issues
- Experience in renewable energy in a senior management position
- Strong track-record of delivering results
- Experience of working closely with international development cooperation or donor organisations, ensuring compliance with Grant Agreement requirements.
Other Requirements:
- The Candidate should have a minimum of 8 Years Experience in managing international donor programmes on energy related issues and working experience within East Africa region and or neighbouring countries.
- Must be between 35 to 65 years of age
