Pathfinder International is an international non-profit organization that is dedicated to supporting high-quality comprehensive reproductive health services in Kenya.

In order to effectively meet the growing demands for our projects, we wish to recruit for the following positions.

Project Director

The Project Director will lead a large health sector project, ensuring efficient programmatic and financial management, and implementation of all components while building on Kenyan and international best practices and achieving project goals.

S/he will have authority for all decisions in the field, overseeing field offices and


staff, and will serve as the primary Project liaison for USAID/ Kenya, GOK entities, and stakeholders. S/he will oversee planning and budgeting, and reporting/ evaluations, ensuring compliance with management and financial procedures.

Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline. Masters will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years program management/leadership experience (including planning/reporting), at least 5 years collaborating with international donor agencies (preferably USAID) and host country governments (including policy/stakeholder engagement)
  • Experience managing HIV/AIDS programs (knowledge of PEPFAR preferred), familiarity with RH/FP, TB, and MCH
  • Excellent verbal/written communication/ and cross-cultural leadership/team skills
  • Fluency in English, including strong English writing skills
Internal Auditor

Reporting to the Country Representative the Internal Auditor will be responsible for ensuring that Pathfinder Kenya transactions are in line with accepted accounting principles and the organizations international policies.

The incumbent will monitor and supervise internal control systems; coordinate external audits and assist with following up on audit findings and participate in monitoring of subgrant awards.

Requirements
  • A Certified Public Accountant with a Bachelors degree in Finance or related field.
  • Minimum of three years work experience in an International NGO preferably in the area of auditing
  • Knowledge and experience with USAID rules and regulations
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel within the country
Outreach Program Specialist – APHIA II Nairobi

The Outreach Programs Specialist will provide technical leadership to APHIA II Nairobi outreach programs, improving scale-up/delivery of community outreach activities and targeting the most at risk populations.

The role will work closely with NGOs, CBOs and relevant government ministries and supervise the outreach program coordinators.

Requirements:
  • Minimum degree in social sciences or equivalent coupled with 5 years relevant work experience preferably with an international NGO.
  • Demonstrated collaborative approach with Government and civil society.
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent analytical skills demonstrated through proven experience in establishing relevant project monitoring systems, assessment design and proposal development.
