Human Resources & Corporate Affairs Manager Designate

The Job
  • Implementing all Human Resources and Corporate affairs related programmes, activities and plans for the company and our subsidiaries in and



    outside the country.
  • Manpower planning and recruitment in a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Developing and maintaining sound Human Resources/Corporate affairs policies, systems and procedures.
  • Facilitation and coordination of all staff recruitment and staff induction in the company and our subsidiaries outside the country.
  • Supervising the establishment and maintenance of employees' data including personal files and other related records.
  • Designing and developing strategic corporate communications services including preparation of information materials, speeches, briefing notes press releases etc.
  • Identifying and coordinating corporate social responsibility programs for the company.
  • Review and advise improvements to the staff performance assessment procedures and ensure adherence to HR Policies and procedures
  • Preparing and managing schedules of corporate affairs calendar.
  • Coordinate and provide requisite support for training and development for all levels staff.
  • Ensure proper administration and compliance to statutory requirements.
  • Generate periodic Human Resources/Corporate Affairs management reports.
Qualifications
  • A bachelors Degree in Social Sciences, Humanities from a recognized University plus an MBA.
  • A post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management/Mass communication, Journalism or Public Relations from a recognized institution. Must be Computer Literate.
Requirements
  • Must have at least seven Years experience in Human Resources Management/Corporate affairs in a large organization with at least 3 years at a senior management level.
  • Must have adequate experience in Manpower planning and recruitment in a rapidly expanding organization.
  • Must have proven track record of people and office management skills.
  • Must demonstrate skills in development and production of communication materials such as Newsletters, Brochures and Briefing papers.
  • Must be willing to undertake frequent assignments to our subsidiaries outside the country.
  • Excellent experience and knowledge of current Labour laws, procedures, policies and other relevant legislations in Kenya and subsidiaries host countries.
  • Must have excellent writing, communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be honest, transparent and with high level of integrity.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and keep abreast with emerging trends in Human Resource Management.
  • Must have initiative with strong organization skills, with ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
Projects Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Projects Manager will be responsible for the following:-
  • Planning, scheduling and coordinating the technical and management aspects of various Construction Projects.
  • Management of construction process to ensure timely material requisition, optimal recruitment and deployment of labour and equipment for strict adherence to construction time frames. Assist in preparation of engineering project proposals.
  • Attend informal daily and formal weekly progress meetings as required by the Management.
  • Ensure that all standard construction, environmental, health and safety rules are adhered to and that all legal and occupation requirements are observed in the construction process.
  • Keep management informed on status of all construction projects.
Qualifications,
  • Bsc. in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in managing multiple discipline engineering projects in a busy working environment.
  • Post graduate training in Project Management will be an added advantage.
  • Must be computer literate. Knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Project highly desirable.
Requirements
  • Must recognize when technical problems are developing in various projects, disciplines and initiate appropriate corrective measures.
  • Must have the ability to lead a multi-task team.
  • Must have track record of producing client deliverables to time and budget.
  • Must have adequate knowledge of quality management procedures and systems.
  • Must have excellent analytical skills for effective planning and execution of construction projects.
  • Must have excellent communication and report writing skills, be a person of high integrity and willing to work long hours within strict deadlines.
  • Aged between 40-50 years.
