these planned changes, we are seeking to fill three key positions with dynamic, meticulous and results focused self starters.

Assistant Services Manager

Based at our Nairobi export hub at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) and reporting to the Services Manager, the overall responsibility of this position will be to supervise the installation, repair, maintenance and service of all refrigeration, air conditioning facilities/Pack-house equipment and general maintenance of all areas of our JKIA operations.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • timely diagnosing of machinery (fridges and pack-house equipment) for possible causes of breakdown and advising on preventive measures to reduce or eliminate occurrence where possible;
  • supervision of installation of new air conditioning and refrigeration system components and Pack-house equipment;
  • maintenance of up-to-date records for all work carried out in regard to maintenance;
  • observe and maintain high standards of safety, health and hygiene while work is in progress;
  • management of staff in the maintenance department;
  • routinely carrying out service and maintenance of all machines and equipment to reduce or avoid breakdowns.
Desired Competences/Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized/reputable university;
  • At least 5 years experience in a busy industrial refrigeration establishment, maintenance of pack-house equipment and engineering;
  • Excellent diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills underpinned by attention to detail, initiative, team orientation and well developed computing, analytical and numerical skills;
  • Experience in electrical maintenance will be an added advantage.
Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) Section Supervisor

Based in our Workshop in Ibis Farm - Mt. Kenya Region (Near Nanyuki, -Laikipia), the HGV Section Supervisor will supervise the maintenance of our fleet of Heavy Goods Vehicles, primarily Scania buses and prime movers.
The key responsibilities include:
  • completing mechanical jobs on schedule and within agreed usage of spares and people;
  • ensuring operational health and safety including proper use of personal protective equipment, safe use of tools and equipment;
  • Supervising, training, coaching and providing overall support to HGV mechanics including ensuring high levels of work quality and individual performance;
  • accurately and timely ordering of spares.
Required Competences/Qualifications
  • Mechanical Trade Test Grade 1;
  • At least five years experience in a busy workshop with at least 3 years in supervisory position.
Auto Electrician

Based in our Workshop in Ibis Farm - Mt. Kenya Region (Near Nanyuki, Laikipia), the Auto Electrician’s main role will be the electrical maintenance of motor vehicles and the key responsibilities will include:
  • using diagnostic equipment to locate electrical and electronic problems;
  • carrying out tests to diagnose faulty components;
  • repairing automotive electrical systems;
  • replacing electrical components on vehicles.
Required Competences/Qualifications
  • Certificate in electrical and electronic installation. A diploma qualification in this area will provide a distinct advantage;
  • Five (5) years practical and relevant experience;
  • Ability to handle all electrical equipments and work with minimum supervision.
