Since 1986, JOSAB International AB, Sweden, has developed and sold complete systems for water treatment.

The business concept of JOSAB International is to develop, manufacture and market sustainable, chemical free water purification solutions, based on the unique filter media Aqualite™ to the international market of environmental-friendly water purification, and in cooperation with OEM-customers develop products within the segment water purification.

Our main customers are national and international aid organisations active in the water sector whose need are reliable and sustainable mobile water purification solutions with low environmental impact and OEM-customer seeking versatile and efficient filter media.

JOSAB International AB has decided to increase the

company presence in East-Africa and since Kenya is an important hub for the aid work in the region, JOSAB International AB now seeks to hire a Country Representative to be based in Nairobi.

Position scope:

Reporting to the Managing Director in the head office in Sweden, the Nairobi-based Country Representative will be responsible for the promotion, marketing and sales of JOSAB International AB products within East Africa.

Key responsibilities of the Country Representative will include:

  • Market and promote sales of the JOSAB International products in Kenya and the neighboring countries
  • Increase the company presence in East Africa, and grow the company portfolio in the region
  • Manage client relationship with International Organizations, NGOs and governmental bodies who has an interest in the company’s products
  • Coordination of all JOSAB International AB’s activities in the region
  • Ensure JOSAB International AB adheres to all requirements of the Kenyan Government
  • Communication and coordination with the head office in Sweden
  • Develop and submit reports to the head office in Sweden
The preferred candidate will meet the following requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a field related to the requirements of the role which may include Engineering, Marketing or Business studies
  • Previous experience from technical engineering or sales/business, preferably in the Water sector
  • Relevant experience from work with or in the UN system and /or with or in Non-Governmental Organizations
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as proven record of honesty and integrity
  • Superior interpersonal, written and oral communication and networking skills
  • Target drive and self motivated
Added advantage would be:
  • Experience from work within the European business sphere
  • Experience and knowledge of accounting principles, legal contracts, tendering processes, and budget creation and monitoring
