Barclays Bank Kenya Ltd. wishes to announce the following vacancies
1. Regional Sourcing Head
This is a Senior Regional position within Barclays, to be based in Kenya.
The incumbent will lead the Sourcing and Supply chain for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana for the Global Retail Bank, reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and the Sourcing Head, Emerging Markets.
Key deliverables for the job holder will include:
1. Regional Sourcing Head

The incumbent will lead the Sourcing and Supply chain for Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Ghana for the Global Retail Bank, reporting into the Chief Operating Officer and the Sourcing Head, Emerging Markets.
Key deliverables for the job holder will include:
- Work with senior business partners to ensure that business objectives are
understood and aligned with Strategic Sourcing objectives - Manage dependencies between sourcing and relevant business areas to ensure synergies are maximised with a view to realising savings and to also ensure that the Risk and Controls framework is adhered to.
- Create and lead a team of highly motivated and skilled professionals who deliver business objectives as stipulated.
- Lead in-country sourcing heads towards delivering appropriate Risk and Governance models as per the Barclays Sourcing Control and Risk framework and creating synergies across the entire region whilst taking advantage of specific market or business dynamics.
Person Specifications
- Hold a first degree from a reputable university. An MBA or related qualification will be an added advantage.
- CIPS or other sourcing professional qualification.
- At least 7 years experience 3 years of which should be at a senior level of management within procurement in a blue chip organisation.
2. Premises Officer-Architect
Reporting into the Premises Manager, the incumbent’s key deliverables will include:

- Provide technical support to Barclays Bank for the design, development, management and security of the bank’s land, premises, plant, machinery, furniture, equipment and fittings.
- Develop briefs for construction/alterations and refurbishment works on bank’s premises to enhance bank’s image in line with business needs
- Supervision of contractors
- Design and development of maintenance schedule for all bank owned/leased properties and ensure implementation whilst ensuring adherence to Health and Safety regulations.
- Make budgetary recommendations and decision for construction, refurbishment or leasing of premises.
- Deal with all queries logged at the helpdesk from branches and head office departments
Person Specifications
- Degree in Architectural Design
- Registered Architect with the Architectural Association of Kenya (A.A.K)
- Good project management discipline and best practice
- Detailed knowledge of statutory and legal obligations relation to property
