ZEP-RE (PTA Reinsurance Company) is a specialized institution of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) established to service and develop the needs of the insurance and reinsurance industry within the Sub-Region.
We are seeking a high calibre and results-oriented professional to create growth, capacity, and competitive advantage in our business in the capacity of Assistant Underwriter.

The role
To assist in effecting the mandate of the company in all aspects of Reinsurance business.
He/She will specifically:-
- Underwrite treaty and facultative reinsurance business;
- Check and sign Cover Notes, Renewal Slips, Debit/ CreditNotes as well as treaty wordings;
- Analyze risk profiles from cedants and make appropriate recommendations;
- Market company products and services;
- Participate in company training initiatives for staff and clients;
- Perform any other duties as will be assigned from time to time
The person
The preferred candidate should have:
- A degree from a recognized University, plus
- An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute ( ACII) with a minimum of 3 years reinsurance experience in an insurance/reinsurance company;
- Computer fluency in MS Office suite plus other Insurance/ Reinsurance packages;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills;
- Be a team player;
- Be between 25-35 years of age
