Assistant Underwriter (Life)
To assist in effecting the mandate of the company in all aspects of Life Reinsurance Underwriting.
He/She will specifically:-
- Underwrite life reinsurance business;
- Analyze risk profiles from cedants and make appropriate recommendations;
- Market company products and services;
- Participate in company training initiatives for staff and clients;
- Perform any other duties as will be assigned from time to time
The person
The preferred candidate should have:
The preferred candidate should have:
- An upper class degree in Actuarial Science from a recognized University, with a 3 year minimum experience in life insurance underwriting gained from an insurance/reinsurance company;
- An Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) will be an added advantage;
- Computer fluency in MS Office suite plus other Insurance/ Reinsurance packages;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills;
- Be a team player;
- Be between 25-35 years of age
