Key Responsibilities
- Conducting day to day financial transactions such as bank reconciliations, petty cash recording, payments and banking;
- To prepare and maintain up to date accounting system, ensuring that all transactions are duly recorded;
- Maintain accurate
periodic reports - Monthly VAT reconciliation
- Monthly reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements
- Daily cash book reconciliation
- Preparation and maintenance of monthly payroll
- Monthly submission of various PAVE, VAT, KBS, Industrial Training Levy, Witholding Taxes
- Annual payments and maintenance of Land rents and rates and various licences
- Preparation and annual submission of Financial Accounts to Auditors
Minimum Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 (two) years progressive accounting experience in a busy accounts office.
Key Competencies:
- Ability to maintain high standards integrity and absolute discretion on confidential matters
- Highly motivated, energetic, independent with strong communication skills
- Demonstrate proficiency in IT particularly computerized accounting packages and knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent analytical and report writing skills’
