AMREF in Kenya seeks to recruit two (2) Pool Drivers to be based in Nairobi to strength the human resource capacity in the Transport Unit.

Short Term Contract (six months)

Reporting to the Transport Assistant, the incumbents shall be responsible for:-
• Driving pool and project vehicles for all official duties while ensuring timeliness and safety
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness of the pool and project vehicles in custody
• Ensuring the pool and project vehicles assigned is well serviced and maintained as required
• Maintaining up-to-date and accurate records of the vehicles work tickets
• Safeguarding all the contents in the vehicles
• Reporting any accidents/incidents involving the vehicles in custody to the Transport Assistant
Qualifications and Competencies
• The ideal candidate will have ‘O’ level education, a clean driving licence, certificate of good conduct and at least 3 years experience in driving.
• Basic Mechanical and First Aid certificate/training is necessary.
• Must have a good in communication skills both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili, good interpersonal skills, should be flexible and a team player.
• The candidate should have high level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel to various project sites within the country.
