Head of Technical Services (Re-Advertised)

Reporting to the Managing Director and CEO, the key responsibilities of the selected candidate will include:
· Overseeing all the activities in engineering and technical operations related to planning, design and implementation of electricity transmission projects;
· Coordinating management of projects;
· Monitoring operation and maintenance of the transmission lines and associated substations;
· Ensuring that environmental issues and way leave acquisitions are resolved in a timely manner;
· Ensuring that the transmission network is implemented and operated in strict adherence to the Company’s standards and in conformity with other recognised national and international standards; and
· To ensure efficient and effective management of the Company’s core business.
Person Profile
· Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Civil (Structural) Engineering;
· Masters in Engineering or Business Administration;
· Registered Engineer with the Kenya Engineers Registration Board (KERB), Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MIEK);
· Member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (MIEK);
· Ten (10) years relevant experience, five (5) of which must be at senior level and four (4) in management of large projects including project planning, implementation and monitoring, preferably in electricity transmission system;
· Experience in construction of electricity transmission lines will be an added advantage;
· Strong leadership skills including effective interpersonal and well developed communication skills; and
· Proficiency in computer applications including those that are used for structural analysis, structural design and power system studies will be an advantage.
Head of FinanceRef: KETRACO/9A/0915
Reporting to the Managing Director and CEO, the Head of Finance will be responsible for the prudent management of financial resources to achieve set corporate goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Formulation and implementation of sound financial policies and procedures
· Preparation of budgets , budget analysis, implementation and adherence to approved levels;
· Compiling Company’s statutory financial reports for circulation to various stakeholders;
· Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting standards and regulations to ensure safety of company assets and resources;
· Timely availability and reliability of financial information.
Person Profile
· Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce( Accounting or Finance);
· Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field
· CPA (K) or equivalent ;
· Experience in projects accounting and treasury management;
· Proficiency in current financial and accounting computer applications. Proficiecy in SAP application will be an added advantage;
· Eight (8) years work experience, three(3) of which must be at the level of a Chief Accountant; and
· Strong leadership skills including effective interpersonal and well developed communication skills.
