A company dealing with importation and distribution of commodities in the East African and Great Lakes region wishes to recruit a highly proactive, self driven individual to fill the position of IT Officer.
Job Specifications
- Software and Hardware acquisition and maintenance
- Oversee the operation of VOIP and Internet infrastructure
- Manage the accounting software and generate required reports
- Maintenance of the company website
- Provision of IT support and user training
- Carrying out regular system maintenance
- Server administration and trouble –shooting
- I.T project management and development of I.T policies and strategy
- Network administration, configuration and support with thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocol and LAN/WAN.
- Develop and support disaster recovery and remote back-up solutions
Eligibility Criteria
- A graduate in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline
- 2 years hands-on experience in IT field of networking.
- A minimum of 2 years working experience with TALLY, ACCPAC, SAP or any other ERP software
- A person with a resilient personality and a can-do attitude to deal with both internal and external customers
- A person with strong interpersonal & communication skills
- A numerically competent individual
- Flexibility to travel to various company locations as may be required at short notice
