_____________________________________________________________________________________ A well established shipping company in East Africa is looking for an imports manager for their Mombasa office with the following minimum qualifications;
Qualifications and experience
· Degree in social sciences, economics, business administration or equivalent.
· Must be conversant with all import documentation.
· Must have over 10 years’ shipping experience and has served as head of imports department for not less than 5 years in a recognized shipping company.
· The job holder must be a man/woman of high integrity.
· Must be computer literate.
· Must be ready to work at odd hours as the job demands.
· Must be a team player and enthusiastic to take challenges.
· Must be fully conversant with customs and port operations.
Key responsibilities
· Issuing and signing delivery orders and bills of ladings
· Checking and authorizing release of cargo to clients
· Checking/analysing vessel’s manifests and lodging them with relevant authorities.
· Ensuring proper invoices are raised and dispatched to clients in good time.
· Answering customers queries on all matters relating to shipping.
· To supervise staff under him/her.
This is a demanding position that calls for serious candidates who are ready to establish a career in shipping with an internationally recognized firm. An attractive remuneration package will be
