Base Officer (Wajid and Mogadishu): Action Contre la Faim ACF-France Jobs

Action Contre la Faim ACF-France has been conducting life-saving humanitarian aid programs in Somalia since May 1992. At present, ACF is focusing its humanitarian activities in Somalia on Severe and moderate malnutrition, Medical programs and Water & Sanitation programs via program bases in Mogadishu (since 1995) and Wajid (since 2003).

ACF Somalia is currently looking for suitable Somali candidates to fill the position of
Base Officer (2 positions)

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective implementation of Program Strategy for the region by regular monitoring and reporting of program activities in collaboration with the Nutrition Field officers
  • Ensure coordination between support and program teams in the base
  • Under the Direct management of Head of Mission, support the coordination team in contextual analysis for program implementation. This will include regular security updates
  • Involve and represent ACF in coordinating with other NGOs for rapid assessments, collaborated projects.Liase with local authorities whenever necessary
  • Compile, analyse the monthly reports, identify the strengths/weaknesses and propose recommendations in order to improve the results of the program.

Essential requirements:

Second degree in Business management, development studies etc. at least 2 years relevant experience in managing programs & staff. Good analytical capacity; Representation skills, Training skills, Proficient in Word, Excel, Internet, Fluent in English & Somali language
